SLIPCOVER – for Merino Moses Mattress

The fitted sheet for your KO-COON merino mattress — soft, breathable and easy to wash.

What is it?
A fitted slipcover that goes over your merino nesting cushion / Moses mattress, exactly like a sheet. Made from soft single jersey knit, it protects the merino from spills and daily wear, keeps airflow good, and slips on and off in seconds for washing.

Why do I need one?
Always use a slipcover over the mattress — it keeps the base clean and hygienic and saves the merino from spills, leaks and daily wear. A must-have for hygiene and comfort, we strongly recommend owning at least two: one on the mattress and one in the wash.

You can also mix and match colours to refresh the look of your basket and coordinate with your fitted liner or nursery theme. 

Is this the same as a nest cover? (Please read before you buy)
No — and this is the part that catches people out. The slipcover is a sheet for the mattress only. It's made from single jersey knit, which does not have the stretch to tie up and over the border into a nest shape. If you want to build a nest, you need the nest cover, which is made from double knit (interlock) and has the stretch to form the hammock shape. A nest cover can double as a slipcover; a slipcover cannot be used as a nest cover. The slipcover costs less because it's a sheet, not a nest piece — so it's the right buy for protecting your mattress, and the wrong buy for making a nest.

Which one do I need?
To protect the mattress or Moses basket base — the slipcover. To create the newborn or 4m+ nest — the nest cover.

Size & materials: 100% cotton, single jersey knit. Fits the KO-COON merino nesting cushion / Moses mattress (approx. 82 × 50 cm). Colours: milky white, grey marl, fudge, navy, mocha brown, matcha green
Care: Machine wash on a gentle/delicate cycle, cold water, lowest spin. Do not tumble dry.
